HireWiz Ltd ("HireWiz", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal information processed through hirewiz.co.uk. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

For candidates: name, contact details, trade certifications, work history, location and any information you add to your profile. For employers: company name, billing details, contact details for hiring managers, and the content of job listings you publish.

How we use it

We use your data to operate HireWiz: matching candidates to roles, verifying credentials, enabling messaging between parties, billing employers, and improving the platform. Lawful bases include contract performance, legitimate interest (verification, fraud prevention) and consent (marketing).

Sharing

Candidate profiles are visible to logged-in employers. Application content is shared with the specific employer you apply to. We use trusted processors (hosting, email, analytics) under data-processing agreements. We never sell your data.

Retention

Active accounts: data is retained while your account is open. Deleted accounts: personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. tax records, 6 years).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, export and object to processing of your personal data. Email privacy@hirewiz.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Security

We use TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, audited access controls and regular penetration testing.
